It's been 16 whole years since the world has heard music from hip-hop legend, Dr. Dre. The rumors have certainly been spreading and his former N.W.A group-mate Ice Cube definitely added fuel to the fire during an interview with Power 99 FM in Philly.
Ice Cube revealed that Dr. Dre wold be dropping the new album on August 1. He says that the project is "mega". "It's what everybody's been waiting for." He said.
Dr. Dre told Rolling Stone that he had something in the works, but he didn't give too much information about it. "I'm really feeling what I'm working on right now. This would be a record that's inspired by the movie," the Beats by Dre creator shared.
The movie, "Straight Outta Compton", which will tell the story of the outspoken hip-hop group N.W.A., will be in theaters August 14.
When asked about a possible N.W.A reunion, Ice Cube revealed that there's a sure possibility for it. "We've definitely been talking about it."
