Oscar winning actress and fashion phenom, Lupita Nyong’o will be making her debut on the New York stage in September.
The Yale School of Drama graduate will star in “Eclipsed”, a story that takes place in postcolonial Africa. The play will surround a group of women who are captive rebels fighting against the government. The story has been described to be both heartbreaking and life-affirming.
The show will begin previews at The Public Theater on September 29 and will continue through November 28. The official opening night is scheduled for October 14.
Nyong’o is also preparing for the premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, which will release in theaters in December.
